Shade is locally owned and operated. Tucker Trask started Shade Custom Blinds and shutters March 2021. Born and raised in Beaufort, Tucker graduated in 2019 from the University of South Carolina. He spent a year in Charleston working in shipping before returning to Beaufort. Raised in a family of builders and developers, Tucker became aware of the need for quality window coverings in new and existing homes in the Lowcountry. Tucker was trained by Mike Bare who manufactures the shutters and blinds in his shop in Marietta, Georgia. Shade Custom Blinds and Shutters have been installed in fine homes all over Beaufort: Habersham, Newpoint, Cat Island, Coosaw Point, Downtown Beaufort, Fripp Island, Oldfield, Spanish Point, Spring Island, as well as Bluffton and Charleston.
